Political support to big private schools helped them evade CBI probe: Manish Sisodia

11 Sep. 21:35

Days after the murder of a seven-year-old boy in Ryan International School in Gurugram, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday said that political support to the big private schools helped them in evading CBI probe in such cases.

Recalling the death of six-year-old Devansh Kacrora at Delhi's Ryan International School on January 30, 2016, he said that he had then asked for a CBI probe in the case but to no avail.

"I had then asked for a CBI probe in the matter but I do not know why it was not conducted," said Sisodia, who holds charge of Education, adding that maybe it was because of "political support" to the school.

"Had the CBI probe in the matter been launched 1.5 years back, we would have probably stopped the recent death in Gurugram school," he claimed.

Sisodia added that because of political support, big private schools were able to hide many such incidents which occurred in their premises.

"Until big private schools are freed of the political patronage, they will continue to act according to their whims and fancies"" the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader told reporters.

Seven-year-old Pradhuman Thakur was found murdered on September 8 at Ryan International School in Bhondsi area on the Sohna Road in Haryana's Gurugram district.

On the same day police have arrested Ashok Kumar, a conductor of a school bus, for the murder.

Two senior officials of the Ryan International School here have also been arrested in connection with the murder of a seven-year-old boy in the school premises last week that sparked massive public outrage.

We round-up the rumours on the new OnePlus 5T specifications, features, price and UK launch date. We’ve seen a ’T’ suffixed OnePlus before in the  OnePlus 3T . That phone arrived six months after the OnePlus 3, so the timing is right here for a successor to the  OnePlus 5  in the OnePlus 5T. However, rumours of a  leaked event invite  for 5 November have been confirmed false by OnePlus. The original T model OnePlus in essence gave the handset a speed boost, moving from the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 in the OnePlus 3 to the 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 in the 3T. The new chip offered a 10 percent performance boost. OnePlus also upgraded the selfie camera from an 8Mp model to a 16Mp version that performed better in low light, and it increased the battery capacity from 3000mAh to 3400mAh. A new 128GB stor...

Check out the Nokia 2, a budget phone with a monster battery

Android Authority Check out the Nokia 2, a budget phone with a monster battery 19 hours ago HMD Global  is slowly building up its portfolio of stock-Android-running smartphones. In addition to the trio of mid-rangers (Nokia 3, 5, and 6)  it launched at MWC , the company bolstered its high-end with the  Nokia 8 , and now the other side of spectrum is getting some attention. Just  leaked by Evan Blass , the Nokia 2 looks… well, like a generic cheap phone. If you have a visceral hate of bezels, you’ll probably want to close this post and move on, but design is hardly the point here. Blass didn’t share any details about the Nokia 2, but we can make some educated guesses based on some other clues we’ve got about the phone. First, you might have noticed that the phones in the leaked renders show October 5 as the date. Dates in renders are often set to match the launch time, but this could be an old render and there’s still time for things to change. Read more Han...

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 vs. Samsung Galaxy S8+: It's all in the details

BEZEL-LESS BATTLE Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 vs. Samsung Galaxy S8+: It's all in the details Wednesday, Oct 4, 2017 at 1:14 am EDT The Galaxy S8+ is still the best Android phone available today, but the Mi Mix 2 has a lot going for it. The  Galaxy S8+  is going strong five months after its release, with the phone  breaking Samsung's sales records . The South Korean manufacturer introduced the Infinity View display with the Galaxy S8 series, offering a dual curved display with minimal bezels at the top and bottom. The 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display on the phone is one of the best available on a phone today, and coupled with a class-leading camera, it's easy to see why the S8+ is so popular. Xiaomi, for its part, attracted considerable attention with the Mi Mix last year, and the company has refined the bezel-less formula with the  Mi Mix 2 . Xiaomi retained the razor-thin bezels, but tweaked the overall design aesthetic to make the Mi Mix 2 much more conducive for everyd...
